Lawrence Andrew "Andy" Nessamar, 59, of Americus, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at his home.

Funeral services are planned for 11:00 AM Saturday, August 4, 2012, in the chapel of First Methodist Church in Americus. Rev. Troy Fripp will officiate. A private burial ceremony will follow.

A visitation will be held Friday evening, August 3, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St.

Mr. Nessamar is survived by his wife, Debbie Martin Nessamar, and children, Jacob Andrew Nessamar and Amy Elise Nessamar. Survivors also include his mother, Mary H. Nessamar, who resides at Perfect Care in Americus, two sisters, Maxine Stribling (Bill) and Mary Ann Dudley (Crawford), both of Americus, and several nieces and nephews.

Born September 22, 1952 in Americus, he was the son of the late Max F. Nessamar and Mary Heath Nessamar who survives him. Mr. Nessamar was the I.T. Manager at Weyerhaeuser.
