Annie M. Johnson

Mrs. Annie M. Johnson, 80, passed away on Friday morning, Jan. 28, 2011, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 South Lee Street, at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4, following an hour’s visitation. Rev. Brooks Partain will officiate. Mrs. Johnson will be cremated following the service, and her cremains will be interred in Arlington at a later date. Born June 9, 1930, she was a daughter of William Jackson and Matilda Doster. She was a homemaker, a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and she was an outstanding cook. She was a member of the Heritage Church of God. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Johnson of Tallahassee, FL; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Earnest J. Johnson, and Emmette and Virginia E. Johnson, all of Americus; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Her husband, Earnest Elvin Johnson, preceded her in death.
