Cynthia Jeanette Justice lived and loved with all of her heart until she was taken to Paradise, on Monday, June 7th, 2011. Jeanette lost her battle from a lengthy illness while at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was with her children and passed away peacefully, surrounded by their love and care. She will be held in state at Hancock Funeral Home in Americus Georgia. A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 9th from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral services will be held the following day at Andersonville National Historic Site in Andersonville, Georgia at 10am. The ceremony will be conducted by Brother Don Wilson. Her sons and grandsons will be serving as the pallbearers. She was born on November 11th, 1935 in Lakeland, Florida to her mother and father, Anne Greelish and Harry Greelish. She graduated from Milton high school, Milton, DE. in 1952 and married Floyd Eugene Justice of Garden Valley, Georgia in 1955. She was a loving, and selfless mother to her five children, Allen Reynolds Justice of Jacksonville, Fla., Catherine Justice McDonald of Charlotte, NC., David Patrick Justice of Wasilla, AK., Floyd Eugene Justice Jr. , of Rincon, Ga., and her favorite son Richard Scott Justice, of Charlotte, NC. With her family, Jeanette lived in Plains, Georgia for many years until the untimely death of her late husband Floyd Justice, in 1978. The family then moved to Middleburg, Florida where she lived near family and with her children, until they became independent adults. She still had much love to give, and for the past thirty years she continued to enjoy her life with her partner, Gerald Beard. They lived among friends and family in Saint Augustine, Florida. Jeanette and Gerald spent their years, traveling with friends and family, enjoying many nights of camping and board games, and spending as much time as possible with those she loved. Those that were blessed to meet, and know Jeanette, understand that she had a wonderful zeal for life and her love and compassion for her fellow man was felt by all who knew her. Her willingness to help those in need was selfless and she was an example to her children and the world for how we should treat our friends, family and fellow man. She is survived in death by all of her children, and her partner. She is also survived by 14 grand children; Christina Nicole McDonald, Jeremy Justice, Lindsey Faith McDonald, Amber Justice, Cheree Beard, Brittani Horne, Christopher Hesling, Hannah Justice, Melissa Justice, Cynthia Justice, Christopher Justice, David Patrick Justice Jr., Caitlin Justice and great-granddaughter, Makayla Reid. In addition to her parents, Jeanette is preceded in death by her grandson, Cameron Beard. Her extended family includes Gerald’s sons, Dewayne Beard and Allen Beard, and a number of nieces and nephews. Jeanette has been blessed through the years with many other children whom although not related by blood; call her, mom or Nana.
