Iris Turner

Ms. Iris Turner, 74, passed away Friday, July 29, 2011 in Chattanooga, TN. She was the daughter of the late Henry Watson and Grace Weaver Turner and grew up in Americus. She had worked for many years at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga where she retired as a Medical Technician. Ms. Turner is survived by one Aunt and Uncle, Alice Ruth and Guy Gunnels of Columbus, GA and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service for visitation at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., beginning at 9:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Humane Educational Society, 212 N. Highland Park Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37404.
