Mrs. Pearl Holley passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011, in Fayetteville, GA. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 30, 2011 at 2:30 PM graveside at Andersonville National Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Ward will officiate. A visitation will be held preceding the funeral, beginning at noon Friday at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 South Lee Street. Born October 29, 1923, she was a daughter of the late John R. Dennis and Elizabeth Stewart Dennis. Mrs. Holley attended Lakeview Baptist Church in Cobb. She worked as a seamstress at Manhattan Shirt Factory in Americus and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her children, Happi Keenan & her husband Chuck of Arabi, Juanita Knowles & her husband Robert of Fayetteville, and John Roy Holley, Jr. & his wife Ellie of Chugiak, AK; 2 sisters, Lucille McMichael of Independence, MO and Vera Lane & her husband G.W. of Orange Park, FL; 4 brothers, J.R. Dennis of Palatka, FL, Harvey Dennis & his wife Mary of Palatka, FL, J.W. Dennis & his wife Billie of Orange Park, FL, Charles Dennis & his wife Mary Ann of Wills Park, TX; a sister-in-law, Mary Alice Moore of Clewiston, FL; and a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Mrs. Holley was preceded in death by her husband John Roy Holley, Sr. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to the charity of your choice.
