G. Emory Webb

Mr. G. Emory Webb, 71, of Smithville, passed away Monday evening, October 3, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 6, from the grave side at Liberty Primitive Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Brooks Partain will officiate. Born December 10, 1939 in Fulton County, GA, he was the son of the late George Terrell Webb and Flora Searles Webb. He was a self-employed farmer, a member of the Smithville Masonic Lodge, and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Americus. Survivors include his wife, Kay Webb of Smithville; daughter Karen Webb of Tallahassee, FL; son George Timothy Webb & his wife Julie of Smithville; sister Shirley Ivey of Atlanta; and 2 grandsons Layton Webb of Smithville & Terrell Webb of Columbus.
