Arturo Duque

Mr. Arturo Duque, 21, passed away early Saturday morning, December 31, 2011, at his home in Americus. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 2, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Americus Hispanic Baptist Mission (the former Benevolence Church) on Little Bear Branch Road. Pastor Sergio Barragan will officiate. A visitation will be held Sunday, January 1, 2012, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with a church service for the Americus Hispanic Baptist Mission at 7:00 PM, in the Chapel at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. Born December 28, 1990, he was a son of Alvaro Duque and Nelida Hernandez, with whom he attended the Americus Hispanic Baptist Mission. He is survived by his mother, Nelida Hernandez; father, Alvaro Duque; paternal grandmother, Paula Duque; brothers Alfonso Hernandez and Juan J. Duque; sisters Gloria Baez, Maritza Duque Reyes, and Analilia Maldonado; nephews Dereck Baez, Angel Reyes, Alfonso Hernandez Jr., Gabriel Maldonado, Brian Reyes; and nieces Arlena Hernandez, Breanna Baez, Lilianna Reyes, Jocelyn Armenta, and Armelle Maldonado. Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., is in charge of arrangements.
