Marjorie Allen Stokes Hodges

Mrs. Marjorie Hodges, age 70, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 3:00 PM graveside at the Hodges Family Cemetery on Old Stage Rd. in Andersonville. Rev. Chet Ragsdale will officiate. The family will receive friends a short time after the service at the cemetery. Born October 31, 1941, she was a daughter of the late James Allen Stokes and Thelma Gill. Mrs. Hodges was a hospital switchboard operator who loved gardening and homemaking. Survivors include her husband, John R. Hodges of Americus; son, Ted Kicklighter & wife Pam of Deatsville, AL; daughters, Julie Kicklighter of Albany and Ellen K. Dalton & husband Mike of Perry; seven grandchildren: Lee Wilson, Bobby Wilson, & Audrey Wilson of Albany; Sarah Cashwell of Miami, FL; Chelsey Cashwell of Atlanta; Taylor Kicklighter & Leif Kicklighter of Deatsville, AL; and two great-grandchildren. Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., is in charge of arrangements.
