Catherine N Skelton, 72, died Tuesday September 25, 2012 at her daughter's home in Barnesville. Born August 9, 1940, she was the daughter of Russell D and Minnie Norris of Gastonia NC. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband John W Skelton Sr. of Barnesville; daughters LaDonna Bowden of Barnesville & Terri Buck of Griffin; son John W Skelton Jr. of Griffin; 7 Grandchildren: Kimberly Nale & Joey Bowden, both of Barnesville, John Skelton II & Ashleigh Skelton, both of Griffin, Brandon Buck of Sunnyside, Amanda Elliott of Griffin, & Courtney Boyack of Gainesville; 10 great-grandchildren: James & Kaitlyn Nale and Emma & Drew Bowden, all of Barnesville, Skyler & Justin Buck of Sunnyside, Daniel, Devon & Dylan Elliott of Ola, GA, & Robert Boyack of Gainesville; brother Wayne Norris of Gastonia NC; & sisters Pat Bryant of Raleigh NC, Linda Owens & Joyce Hughes, both of Gastonia NC, & Sandra Hammonds of Palmetto Ga. A memorial service will be held at New Life Baptist Church in Barnesville on Saturday September 29, 2012 at 1:00 pm. Rev. Charles Killingsworth & Dr. David Hammonds will officiate.
