Dorothy Betty Price

Mrs. Dorothy Betty Price, 88, passed away Saturday evening, October 13, 2012, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. A visitation will be held at Lee Street United Methodist Church, directly preceding funeral services, on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, from 9:30 until 10:30 AM, with the funeral services beginning immediately following the visitation. Rev. Brooks Partain & Rev. Matt Stewart will officiate. Burial will follow in Andersonville National Cemetery. Born June 28, 1924 in Bromley Kent, England, she was the daughter of the late George Richard Warren and Eveline Dorothy Smith Warren. Mrs. Price was a veteran of the Women's English Land Army. She has been a resident of Americus since 1950, where she was the Counter Clerk at Red's Pharmacy for 35 years. She was a member of Lee Street United Methodist Church. Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her husband, James Ross Price and by her son, James Michael Price. Survivors include her son, Barry Ross Price & his wife Gem; grandchildren: Heather Worth, Brandon Price and Michael Price; and great-grandchildren: Kali Worth and Kyndal Worth. It was the request of Mrs. Price that flowers be omitted from her funeral services. In lieu of flowers, she suggested memorial contributions to Lee Street United Methodist Church, 1102 S.
