Jeannette Buchen

Mrs. Jeannette Buchen, who would have turned 109 years old in November, passed away early Friday morning, October 19, 2012, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Born November 7, 1903 in Norris, IL, she was the last of nine children born to the late Samuel Heller & Henrietta Sowers Heller. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Christian Church in Anderson, IN. Mrs. Buchen was preceded in death by her husband, Neil Matthews Buchen. Survivors include a daughter, Virginia Reitmayer, of Anderson, IN; a son & daughter-in-law, Phillip & Zona Buchen of Americus, GA; grandchildren: Nanette & Jan Davidson of Brasstown, NC, Neil & Elissa Buchen of Buford, GA, Phyllis & Robert Sumner of Dunwoody, GA, Paula & Doug Dalton of Anderson, IN, and Robert & Beate Buchen of Irvington, NY; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. A family memorial service will be held in Anderson, IN at a later date, with private interment to follow.
