Nelwyn G. (Howard) Johnson

Mrs. Nelwyn G. (Howard) Johnson passed away Friday evening, November 23, 2012, at her granddaughter's home in Ellaville. Funeral services are planned for 4:00 PM Sunday, November 25, 2012, in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. Dr. Lennie Howard and Rev. Wendy Peacock will officiate. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held immediately preceding the service, from 2:00-4:00 PM at the funeral home, and friends may call at other times at the home of Tara McIntyre, 5097 Highway 271, Ellaville. Born December 8, 1932 in Forsyth, GA, Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of the late Ambers Galliher and Gladys Bowdoin Galliher. She was preceded in death by two husbands, William Leonard "Pete" Howard and Edgar Josea "Ed" Johnson. She worked at the Shell Station in Americus for many years. Survivors include her children: Randy Howard, Sr. (Donna) of Cobb, Aletha Cook (Joe) of Americus, and Lennie Howard (Beth) of Jay, FL; grandchildren: Randy Howard, Jr., Rodney Howard (Suzanne), Ricky Howard (Anna), Jamie McIntyre, Tara McIntyre, Heath Howard, and Leah Howard; great-grandchildren: McKenzie Howard, Rand Howard, Dustin Howard, Jacob Howard, Kirstie Hart, Storm McIntyre, Donovann McIntyre, Garreth McIntyre, Cody Erwin, Kari Erwin, and Christopher Hiltz; great-great-grandchildren: Hailey, Alyssa and Timmy; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved little dog Misty.
