Ruby Ethel "Ladye" Hagerson

Mrs. Ruby Ethel “Ladye” Hagerson, age 82, passed away Monday, December 24, 2012, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Americus, GA. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Concord United Methodist Church, with Rev. Gary Page officiating. Interment will follow at the Hagerson Family Cemetery. A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2012, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 South Lee Street. Born August 30, 1930, in Fitzgerald, GA, she was a daughter of the late J. S. and Sallie May Guest Fleeman. A member of Concord United Methodist Church and former Hospitality Chairman at Damascus Baptist Church in Leah, GA, Mrs. Hagerson was an excellent seamstress and worked as an Office Manager for Utilities of Augusta, Inc. Mrs. Hagerson is survived by her husband of 62 years, Mr. William Austin “Doc” Hagerson. Additional survivors include her daughter, Diane H. Neal & her husband Bob of Roswell, GA; two grandsons, Bert Neal & his wife Heidi of Sandy Springs, GA, and Brian Neal of Roswell, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hagerson was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Logan; and two brothers, Wilma Fleeman and Robert Fleeman.
