Joyce Hamilton Crandall

Mrs. Joyce Hamilton Crandall, 84, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Golden Living Center of Tifton. Funeral services are planned for 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 2, 2013, from the graveside at Sunset Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Bill Linder officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30 PM preceding the funeral on Saturday at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. Born September 8, 1928 in McRae, GA, she was a daughter of the late E. Y. Hamilton and Rosa Davis Hamilton. Mrs. Crandall worked for 12 years at the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, and for 15 years as the Public Housing Manager for the Americus Sumter County Housing Authority. She was a member of Morningside United Methodist Church. Mrs. Crandall was preceded in death by her husband, Neil G. Crandall. Survivors include two daughters, Donna C. Bolt of Watertown, NY and Lynne E. Crandall (& Bucky Ford) of Tifton; one son, Dean Crandall of TX; five sisters, Jean McAnally of Vienna, Lavonia Hobgood of Tifton, Joan Crumpton of Americus, Frances McDonald of Arden, NC, and Lucy White (& Kermit) of Griffin; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
