Michael Lloyde Hughes

Mr. Michael Lloyde "Mickey" Hughes, 64, passed away Monday evening, January 28, 2013, at Lillian G. Carter Health & Rehab Center in Plains. A family memorial service with burial will be held at a later date at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. Mr. Hughes was born April 4, 1948 in Atlanta, a son of the late Lloyde W. Hughes and Edna Mae Owens Hughes. Mr. Hughes was a self employed construction carpenter. He was of the Baptist faith, and was a veteran of the United States Army, having served from 1970-1982. Survivors include a son, Michael Lloyde Hughes, Jr. and a daughter, Robin Michelle Pierce, both of Jasper, GA; a brother, Andrew Hughes (Vickie) of White, GA; and two sisters, Barbara Meeks (Paul) of Douglasville, GA, and Judy Farist (Leon) of Ellijay, GA.
