Mrs. Jacqueline Melvin, age 79, passed away Saturday morning, September 28, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 1, in the Martha McDonald Moore Memorial Chapel at Magnolia Manor, with the Rev. John Brodess and the Rev. Joy Wilson officiating. There will be a private interment at Andersonville National Cemetery. Visitation will be held directly preceding and following the funeral services. Born July 25, 1934 in Manchester, New Hampshire, she was a daughter of the late Clinton Byron Dustin and Stella Teaque Dustin. Mrs. Melvin was a home maker, and volunteered for years at Magnolia Manor, in the coffee shop and assisting the residents. She was a member of the United Methodist Women's Organization at Benevolence Methodist Church, and of the Daniel Webser Grange, Post 101. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Starbird Melvin. Survivors include her dear friends, John and Wenola Dickerson; two sons, Albert L. Melvin and Brad Melvin (Cher Ching); and grandchildren, Joshua Melvin, Kyler Melvin, Annalyn Mei, and Daniel T. Melvin.
