Mrs. Janette Aycock, age 83, passed away Sunday afternoon, September 29, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 2, at Concord United Methodist Church. Rev. Bill Dupree will officiate. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening, October 1, between the hours of 6:00 & 8:00 PM at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. A native of Americus, Mrs. Aycock was born May 7, 1930, a daughter of the late Charles J. Dupree and Lula Bell Dupree. Mrs. Aycock was a member of Concord United Methodist Church, loved the Atlanta Braves, and worked for over 40 years as a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery at Sumter Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Franklin Aycock, and by a son, Roy Franklin Aycock, Jr. Survivors include a son, Jack Aycock; two daughters, Wanda Brenes and Marjorie Ann Crenshaw; two brothers, Rev. Bill Dupree (Sue) & Charles Dupree (JoAnn); grandchildren: Luke Bennett (Toni), Wendy Davis, Bryan Aycock, Spencer Aycock, Jacob Sutton, Jessica Aycock, Haley Aycock, Katie Nicole Aycock, Summer Hopper, John Olvera, Madison Bennett, Kaitlyn Nicole Davis, Taylor Davis, & Christina Aycock; and several nieces & nephews.
