Margaret L. Shaddix

Mrs. Margaret L. Shaddix, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, at Valparaiso Hospice in Valparaiso, Indiana. Funeral services are planned for 11:00 AM Monday, November 25, from the grave side at Oak Grove Cemetery, with Rev. Tommy McConnell officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 24, at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., between the hours of 4:00 & 6:00 PM. Born March 10, 1925 in Crisp County, she was a daughter of the late William Falton Lewis & Epsie Cordelia Standford Lewis. Mrs. Shaddix was of the Pentecostal faith, and was a home maker. She was employed for 16 years at Manhattan Shirt Company. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Franklin Shaddix, by a son, Floyd Shaddix, and by a great-grandson, Joshua Medrano. Survivors include two daughters, Josephine Harris of Chesterton, IN and Helen Sellers of Americus; one son, Lloyd Shaddix of Jasper, GA; one sister, Lula Mae Jones of Cordele; one brother, Daniel Lewis of Cordele; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
