Mrs. Rose Ellen Bush, 84, passed away early Sunday morning, January 12, at her home in Americus. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 13, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Father Clif Marquis will officiate. The family will receive friends at St. Mary's Catholic Church, beginning at 10:00 AM on Monday. Interment will be private. Born August 14, 1929 in Jasper, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Henry Newton McLean and Rose Nelle Robinson McLean. Mrs. Bush was of the Catholic faith and was a home maker and Registered Nurse. Survivors include her husband, Carl G. Bush of Americus; two daughters, Rose Ann Durham of Atlanta, GA and Laura Lynn Carr (Roy) of Jacksonville, FL; one step-son, David Bush (Kim) of Bozeman, Montana; five grandchildren, Carl Martin and Jeremy Martin, both of Jacksonville, Rachel Durham, of Atlanta, and Victoria Carr and Allison Carr, both of Jacksonville; two sisters, Helen Dill of Americus and Sister Mary Adriane O.B.S. of Cullman, AL; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bush was preceded in death by four brothers, Ellis McLean, Henry McLean, Charles McLean, and Jim McLean.
