Mr. Floyd Lee Herrington, 93, passed away Wednesday morning, January 29, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Funeral services are planned for 11:30 AM on Saturday, February 1, from the graveside at Oak Grove Cemetery. Rev. Brooks Partain will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday morning at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., from 10:00 until 11:00 AM. Born March 14, 1920, he was a son of the late Floyd Lee Herrington, Sr. and Carrie Wiggins Herrington. A United States military veteran, Mr. Herrington was a retired salesman for IMC and was a member of Lee Street United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace K. Herrington, on December 29, 2010, and by his daughter, Beth Adkins, on June 8, 2009. Survivors include one son, Brad Herrington of Leesburg; six grandchildren, Dana Dillard (Hal) of Andersonville, Betsy Herrington of Albany, Whitney Bowen (Dustin)of Americus, Michael Adkins (Susan Rice) of Lake Charles, LA, Kyle Adkins (April) of Macon, and Russ Herrington of Albany; seven great-grandchildren, Owen Dillard and Reed Dillard of Andersonville, Andrew Bowen and Jacob Bowen of Americus, Laney Adkins of Swainsboro, and Bobby Ricker and Mia Ricker of Waycross.
