Johnnie Roy Studstill

Mr. Johnnie Roy Studstill, 81, passed away early Monday morning, May 26, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 28, at First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Daniel Loffredo officiating. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery. Born January 19, 1933 in Rhine, GA, he was a son of the late Talmadge Studstill and Essie Brown Studstill. Mr. Studstill attended Georgia Southwestern College and graduated with a Masters degree from Auburn University. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where he served for many years as an Elder, was a retired Certified Public Accountant, and was president of Altair Homes for many years. Survivors include his wife, Martha Ann Studstill of Americus; two daughters, Susan Studstill Davis (Nick) of Signal Mountain, TN and Sherry Studstill Lyons of Pinehurst, NC; grandchildren: Nick Davis (Lauren) of Nashville, TN, Nelson Davis of Chattanooga, TN, Neal Davis of Signal Mountain, TN, and Marcus Lyons of Birmingham, AL; one great-grandson, Bennett Butler Davis of Nashville, TN; and one brother, William Talmadge Studstill (Sarah). He was preceded in death by his son, Johnnie Roy Studstill, Jr. "Sonny".
