Patricia Thacker

Mrs. Patricia Thacker, 81, of 110 Shaaban Subdivision Road, Plains, GA, died Sunday, August 24, at her residence. A native of Richmond, VA, Mrs. Thacker was born June 1, 1927, a daughter of the late Allen Freeman Boyce and Augusta Patrick Boyce. Mrs. Thacker was a home maker & was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest B. Thacker. Funeral services are planned for 4:30 PM on Thursday, August 28, from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Brooks Partain will officate. Survivors include a daughter, June Thacker of Plains; a son, Joel Thacker of Nashville, TN; a sister, Ruth Redmon & her husband John, of Huntsville, AL; one nephew and two nieces. Memorial contributions may be made to Sumter Humane Society, 702 Magnolia Street, Americus, GA 31709, or to Rehoboth Baptist Church, 422 Highway 49 South, Americus, GA 31719. Hancock Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
