Mr. Marvin James Wiggins, 58, Smithville, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 29, 2014, just two days before his 59th birthday. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, at Liberty Primitive Baptist Cemetery with Deacon Phillip Totty officiating. The family will receive friends at 144 Wiggins Road. A native and lifetime resident of Sumter County, he was born July 31, 1955, a son of Mrs. Franciene Reid Wiggins who survives, and the late Leo Wiggins. He was reared in their Primitive Baptist home. Mr. Wiggins was a truck driver who enjoyed playing golf in his leisure time. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Richard Wisham of Americus, two brothers, Thomas Larry Wiggins of Byron, and Leo Wiggins and his wife Leonarda of Ellaville; 8 nieces and nephews and a number of great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Gloria Jean Bryant and Sherry Lee Minick. Friends are invited to show their respect to the family in whatever manner they choose.
