Mrs. Betty Watson Robinson, 97, passed away on Friday morning, November 7, at Magnolia Manor Assisted Living. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 9, from the graveside at Oak Grove Cemetery. Rev. Bill Dupree and Rev. Jim Smith will officiate. A daughter of the late James Watson and Mary Elizabeth Anderson Watson, she was born September 9, 1917 in Jackson, TN. Mrs. Robinson was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church of Americus, a member of The Colonial Dames and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. John H. Robinson, III, and by her grandson, John Torbert.. Survivors include three daughters: Frances Ambrose of Lake Blackshear, Dotsie Dewberry and her husband James of Savannah, and Mary Torbert and her husband Dan of Americus; grandchildren: George Torbert and his wife Shay of Americus, Sara Bremerman and her husband AJ of Naples, FL, and Jimmy Dewberry and his wife Mary Ann of Savannah; four great-grandsons, and three great granddaughters.
