Ms. Agnes Moore Goolsby, 83, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 6, at her home in Americus. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 10, in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., with interment to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Rev. William Hall will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, January 9, between the hours of 6:00 & 8:00 PM at Hancock Funeral Home. Born July 19, 1931 in Pike County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Borden Moore & Virgil Estelle Bethune Moore. Mrs. Goolsby was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a member of the Woodmen of the World. Ms. Goolsby was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Kay Mote and by a sister, Annie Maude Parker. Survivors include one son, Darrell E. Courson of Americus; four sisters: Evelyn Holloway, Louise Wiggins, Candy Dinsmore (Doug), all of Americus, and Katie L. Edmonson of Dothan, AL; two granddaughters: Leslie Kay Satterfield and Brittany Nicole Goolsby Bushey, both of NY; two great-granddaughters: Cierra and Jenny; and several nieces & nephews.
