Julian Cromer

Mr. Julian Cromer, 88, passed away on Monday evening, February 9, at Perfect Care. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 12, from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. Rev. Andy Hines will officiate. Interment will be private. Born May 19, 1926 in Sumter County, he was a son of the late Clarence Wesley Cromer and Laura Jones Cromer. A veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Cromer was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Americus, and was self employed in furniture restoration. He had also been employed at Davis Casket Company and the Coca Cola Company in Americus. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Annette Hand Cromer. Survivors include one son, Larry Cromer (Brenda) of Cordele; two brothers, Clarence Cromer (Marline) of Americus, and Sam Cromer of Americus; one sister, Betty Grover of Sparta, Michigan; grandchildren: Dendy Cromer (Tarah) of Desoto, Jody Cromer (Sian) of Desoto, and Kerry Cromer (April) of Uniontown, PA; five great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Lily Daniels and her family.
