Leotis Bray Greene

Mrs. Leotis “Odie” Bray Greene, 92, of Claiborne County, TN, formerly of Americus, died on Thursday evening, December 11, at the Claiborne County Nursing Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, from the graveside at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Rev. Tommy McConnell will officiate. Born May 12, 1916, in Tyler, TX, Mrs. Greene was a daughter of the late Lee Bray and Ivy Hice Bray. She was a homemaker and a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church in Americus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Tom Allen Greene, & by her son, Thomas Greene. The family received friends at Hancock Funeral Home, from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13. Family members suggest that memorial contributions be made to Rehoboth Baptist Church, 422 GA Highway 49 South, Americus, GA 31719. Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Welch & her husband Clarence, of New Tazewell, TN; a sister, Velma Bray Norris, of Centerville, GA; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, & several nieces & nephews. Hancock Funeral Home, 427 South Lee Street, Americus, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
