Ms. Geneva Gerry Spencer passed away on Monday afternoon, April 14, 2015, at her home in Carrollton, GA, surrounded by her loving family. Born January 8, 1936 in Newnan, GA, she was a daughter of the late Homer Reynolds and Ledella Bates Reynolds. Ms. Spencer was of the Christian faith, and was retired from work as a machine operator for Sony Music. A wonderful cook who also enjoyed sewing, she was a caring mother and grandmother who loved nothing more than spending time with her family. She was never one to complain, even during the last days of her life. Ms. Spencer was preceded in death by her son, Timothy A. Spencer. Survivors include her son, Barry A. Spencer, Sr. (Cindy) of Heflin, AL; one brother, Hubert Reynolds of Whitesburg, GA; grandchildren: Amanda Smith (Paul) of Roopville, GA, Billy Church (Erika Lake) of Winter Springs, FL, Misty Reagan (Johnny) of Albertville, AL, Patience Spencer of Carrollton, GA, Barry Anthony Spencer, II of Atlanta, GA, Raylee Spencer of Heflin, AL, Tate Bell of Fruithurst, AL, and Mara Bell of Tyus, GA; great-grandchildren: Dakota Rehberg, Devin Rehberg, Sierra Rehberg, Destin Smith, Daelin Smith, Drayton Smith, Dominick Church, Kadin Bingham, Sabrina Hansen, Kayli Reagan, Drennon Reagan, Skylar Hice, and Isaiah Spencer; special friends Jackie Harper and Louise Helton; and a daughter-in-law, Jackie Spencer. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25, from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at McIntosh Reserve in Whitesburg, GA.
