James E. Hogsed

Mr. James Edward Hogsed, age 48, of TyTy, formerly of Americus, died in Colorado on January 3, 2009. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9, in Lebanon Cemetery with the Rev. Lee Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at Hancock Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8. At other times, friends may call at 680 Highway 19, South. A fund has been established at Wachovia Bank in the name of Mr. Hogsed. In lieu of flowers, family members suggest that memorial contributions be made to that fund. Born November 8, 1960, in Albany, Georgia, Mr. Hogsed was a son of Allman and Myra Knight Hogsed. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Graceville, Georgia, and was a long-distance truck driver. Survivors in addition to his parents, include Wanda and Glenn Horne, Vickie and Mike Smith, Jessica G. Hogsed, and a number of nieces and nephews. Hancock Funeral Home, 427 South Lee Street, Americus, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
