Ms. Annabelle Thompson, age 70, passed away on Saturday evening, May 30, 2015, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 2, at Plains Baptist Church, with Rev. Brooks Partain officiating. Carol Anderson and Wanda Dunn will provide musical accompaniment. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery. Friends may call at Plains Baptist Church on Tuesday, between the hours of 12:00 & 2:00 PM. Born August 21, 1944 in Americus, she was the daughter of the late Robert Francis Thompson and Allie Inez Turner Thompson. She was of the Baptist faith and she loved Jesus with all her heart. She was a graduate of Plains High School. Anna Belle worked in the laundry department at Magnolia Manor, despite her disability. Survivors include her cousins: Patricia Williams of Albany, Wanda Dunn (John) of Fayetteville, GA, Cindy McCraney (Jim) of Plains, Janet Renfroe (Ronny) of Fortson, GA, and Cheryl Turner Marines (Greg) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and a special uncle, Guy Gunnels of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert "Bob" Thompson of Warner Robins (originally from Plains) and by a cousin, Iris Turner of Chattanooga, TN.
