John Ander Price, Jr.

John Ander Price, Jr., 62, of Americus, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 5:00 PM at the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery on the Chappell family lot. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Andy was born in Americus, Sumter County, Georgia, on October 30, 1952 to the late John A. Price and the late Ima Jewell Williams. His mother Ima and his stepfather, the late Allen B. Chappell, raised Andy with love and devotion. Their lives revolved around Andy and his well being. Even though Andy was born with Downs Syndrome, it never affected his going. He participated in many Special Olympic events over the years and received many medals and ribbons. Andy was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. He was a special person who was dearly loved by his mother and his family.
