Ethel Frances Buchanan Berry

Mrs. Ethel Frances Mims Buchanan Berry, age 95, passed away on Friday morning, August 21, 2015, at Lillian Carter Health Center in Plains. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, August 24, from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., with Rev. Bill Dupree officiating. Private burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday at Hancock Funeral Home between the hours of 2:00 & 4:00 PM. Born September 2, 1919 in Webster County, she was a daughter of the late Floyd Wright Mims and Ella Bertha Adams Mims. Mrs. Berry became a registered nurse in 1965 and worked for 38 years in several Americus doctors' offices. She was a member of Concord United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Julian Buchanan and Doyle Berry. She leaves a loving family and many friends to cherish her memory.
