Mrs. Frankie Mae Gore Hancock, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Mrs. Hancock was born April 7, 1925 in Jackson County, Missouri. She was a daughter of the late William Greenville Gore and Lela Belle McIntyre Gore. Prior to moving to Americus, she had been a resident of Palm Harbor, FL, and had lived in Independence, Missouri for the first 50 years of her life. Mrs. Hancock was a home maker. She was the Past President of the Garden Club of Tarpon Woods in Palm Harbor, FL, and was the Past President of All Children's Hospital Ladies Golf Association. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 28, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri. Survivors include her son, R. William "Bill" Hancock and wife Carolyn of Americus; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Shriners' Children's Hospitals, c/o Sumter Shrine Club, P.O. Box 225, Americus, GA 31709.
