Mrs. Mary Newell Smith Strohsahl, widow of Harrison Strohsahl, died on April 26, 2009. She had been a resident of Magnolia Manor for 28 years, having moved here from Florida in May of 1981 with her husband, Harrison. Visitation at Hancock Funeral Home will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2009. Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2009 in Calvary Episcopal Church, 408 South Lee Street, with Fr. Don Hutchens officiating. Those who are requested to serve as honorary pallbearers include Mark Miller, Todd Hunnewell, Josh McClung, Dr. Lamon Moates, Manson Markette, and Ray Edwards. Survivors are her adopted family, including Lee and Virginia Sewell, Marcia and Josh McClung, and Earline Dobbs, all of Ellaville; Mark, Michelle, Jacob, and Zeke Miller of Edison; Todd, Regina, and Tyler Hunnewell of Brunswick; and several nieces and nephews, including Judy Roy of Jupiter, FL. Mary’s adopted family has been blessed by having her as a part of their lives for more than 20 years. She has been a wonderful friend, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother to this family. They will truly miss her.
