Gloria Ann Partridge

Mrs. Gloria Ann Partridge, age 79, of 741 Wheatley Street in Americus, passed away on Thursday evening, February 25, 2016, at her home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 2, at 2:00 PM at Plains United Methodist Church in Plains, with Rev. Chet Ragsdale and Rev. Stan Ballew officiating. The family will receive friends at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. on Tuesday, march 1, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, and at other times at the family residence, 741 Wheatley Street. Mrs. Partridge was born November 13, 1936 in Preston, GA, the daughter of the late Howard Walker Harrod, Sr. and Mary Hale Harrod. Mrs. Partridge was a homemaker and held several professional positions including a business owner and Kentucky Fried Chicken manager. Mrs. Partridge was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. George Allen Partridge, Sr. of Cortez, CO. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Gia Allison Sandwich and Wayne of Americus; two sons and daughters-in-law: George Allen Partridge, Jr. and Andrea of Germany, and Glenn Adam Partridge and Cathy of Americus; two brothers: Howard Walker Harrod, Jr. of Americus, and Larry Dean Harrod and wife Linda of Plains; four grandchildren: Timothy Allen Partridge, Kalynn Nicole Partridge, Austin Wayne Sandwich, and Aaron Walker Sandwich; and a number of nieces and nephews.
