Mrs. Carolyn Hogg Stockton, age 92, passed away on Thursday morning, March 3, 2016, at Oak Park Nursing Home in Auburn, AL. Funeral services are planned for 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 5, from the grave side at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a short time following the service at the cemetery. A native of Sumter County, she was born March 13, 1923, a daughter of the late Charles Smith Hogg, Sr. and Loula Persons Hogg. She was Methodist by faith and was a home maker and former secretary for State Farm Insurance Company. Mrs. Stockton was preceded in death by her parents, by an infant son, by her only brother, Charles S. "Charlie" Hogg, and by five sisters, including her twin sister, Frances Threldkeld, and Nell Hines of Sumter County. Survivors include two sons: Richard E. Stockton (Hope) of Auburn, AL, and Charles David Stockton (Dawn) of Winter Springs, FL; grandchildren: Richard C. Stockton of Auburn, and Joshua Stockton, Christa Stockton, and Rebekah Stockton, all of Winter Springs FL; and several nieces and nephews.
