Mary Elizabeth Kirkland

Ms. Mary Elizabeth Kirkland, age 71, passed away on Thursday evening, March 3, 2016, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Services are planned for 3:30 PM on Monday, March 7, in the Martha McDonald Moore Memorial Chapel at Magnolia Manor. Rev. Joy Wilson will officiate. Born October 5, 1944 in Columbus, GA, she was a daughter of the late William Fields and Mary Roberts Fields. Ms. Kirkland was retired as an office worker, having been employed for 37 years by Johnson Textile Mill. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Bobby Fields and Jimmy Fields. Survivors include two daughters: Vicky Lawhorn of Americus and Leisa Blanton of Beufort, SC; two grandchildren: Brannon Landress of Ellaville and Libby Blanton of Atlanta; and one brother, Thomas Fields of Florida.
