Mrs. Sue Ellen Briscoe Elliott, age 50, passed away on Thursday morning, April 7, 2016, at her home in Americus. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 9, in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. with Rev. Marshall Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in their private family cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, April 8, between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 PM at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., and at other times at the home of April McKinley, 1073 GA Hwy 49 South near Americus. Born September 26, 1965 in Macon, GA, she was a daughter of the late Calvin Leon Briscoe and Bessie Lee Pate Briscoe. Mrs. Elliott was a former restaurant manager at Central Park in Macon. She was Pentecostal by faith. Mrs. Elliott loved her grandbabies and spending time with her family, and enjoyed her coffee and her Pepsi. Survivors include her husband, Sherman “Larry” Elliott, Jr. of Americus; two daughters: April McKinley (William) of Americus, and Tori Hodges of Americus; one son, Michael Abney (Kimberly) of Haddock, GA; grandchildren: Hunter Elliott, Joshua Elliott, John McKinley, Jon’Troy Abney, Andrew Abney, Jessie Abney, Deniella Centerfitt, and Kaitlyn Centerfitt; three brothers: Gary Griffin (Patsy) of Gordon, GA, Roger Briscoe of Macon, GA, and Ronnie Griffin (Carol) of Ohio; one sister, Gail Johnson (Marshall) of Cochran, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
