Ms. Lorene S. Twenty, 76, of 105 Starlight Circle, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in Eatonton, GA at the home of her daughter, Coffy Johnson. Ms. Lorene Small Twenty was born June 23, 1938 to the late William Small, Sr. and the late Irene Small. She attended the public schools of Sumter County. At an early age she joined the Zion Hope Baptist Church. She was employed for many years at Hungry Man and AARP (Georgia Southwestern University). She enjoyed watching television; her favorite show was Family Feud. She was a sweet and caring person who didn’t mind helping anyone that she could, in any way. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Twenty; daughter, Tina Twenty; brothers: John Small, George Small, and Henry Small; and sister, Ossie Higgs. She leaves to cherish her memories seven children, Coffy Johnson (Robert S. Johnson, Sr.), Sandra Twenty, Samuel Bernard Twenty, Lorraine Banks (Lafayette Banks), Peggy Twenty, Eddie Quwenty (Mary Quwenty), and Isiah Twenty, Jr.; one sister, Thelma Merritt of Miami, Florida; one brother, William Small, Jr. (Gloria Small) of Americus; two sisters-in-law: Frances Stewart and Louise Davis; several grandchildren and great grandchildren including a devoted granddaughter, Jasmirree’ Johnson and devoted grandson, Kentroylis Clark; devoted friends including Josie Bridges, Ben Carter, Emma Kate Lowe, Rosetta Wright, and Jody Monts; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday May 9, at Zion Hope Baptist Church, 1681 Hwy 19 South, Americus, with Rev. George F. Monts officiating. Burial will follow in Staley Memorial Gardens, 409 Southerfield Road, Americus. Viewing will begin in the Church at 11:00 AM on Monday morning. A visitation will be held from 3:00 - 5:00 PM on Saturday, May 7, at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 South Lee Street.
