Mrs. Earline Matthews Wills, age 87, passed away on Monday evening, May 16, 2016, at Morningside Assisted Living in Albany. Funeral services are planned for 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 19, at Macedonia Baptist Church, with Rev. Lee Smith and Rev. Robert Orr officiating. Burial is to follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Grandsons and grandsons-in-law will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at Mrs. Earline's home, 4242 Spanns Mill Road near Preston, or on Thursday between the hours of 2:00 & 3:00 PM at Macedonia Baptist Church. Born September 6, 1928 in Upson County, she was a daughter of the late Claude Matthews and Leola Franklin Matthews. Mrs. Wills was a member of Preston United Methodist Church, and was an entrepreneur, making wedding cakes and other cakes and decorating them. She also sold hosiery and worked at a café in Preston. She worked hard all her life, and was a faithful helper to her farmer husband, Oscar Ray Wills, Jr., who preceded her in death in 2012. Survivors include four daughters: Beverly Smith of Bluffton, SC, Phyllis King (Phil) of Albany, Marilyn Kaye Wills of Preston, and Betty Anne Eschmann of Preston; seven grandchildren: Melanie Dale (Tony), Kevin King (Sarah), Ted Eschmann (Ashley), Anna Gosa (Jon), Cameron Smith (Ashley), Ray Eschmann (Anna), and Jeffery Eschmann (Lauren); ten great-grandchildren: Luke Smith, Zack Smith, Caden Eschmann, Eli Eschmann, Daisy Eschmann, Emilee Dale, Landon Dale, Dakota King, Cullen King, and Aulden Gosa, and two more great-grandchildren expected soon; a sister, Christine Moye (Gene) of Young Harris; a brother-in-law, Dennis Wills of Preston; and a sister-in-law, Mary Wills of Plains.
