Margie Montgomery Crews, age 64, peacefully passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016, at the Leslie home of her brother, Bobby, surrounded by her family. Graveside funeral services are planned for 11:00 AM on Friday, July 8, at Smithville Cemetery, and will be conducted by her uncle, Mayor Jack Smith. The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 10:00 until 11:00 AM. Born November 24, 1951 in Americus, she was the youngest daughter of Robert and Juanita Montgomery, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Levon Wallace Crews. Margie was raised in Smithville, but had spent the last twenty years of her life in Nahunta, GA, where she still has many friends. Margie was the comedian of the family and always kept everyone laughing. Survivors include her siblings - two brothers: Robert F. Montgomery "Freddy" & wife Sonja of Smithville and Bobby Pink Montgomery of Leslie; and two sisters: Oden Montgomery Grube of Durant, OK, and Becky Montgomery Falotico & husband John of Tifton.
