Martha Y. Reid

Mrs. Martha Y. Reid, 61, 809 Kaylor Road, Leslie, passed away very early Tuesday morning, June 9, 2009, at her residence. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Thursday, June 11, in Oak Grove Cemetery, Americus, with the Rev. Brooks Partain officiating. Born July 17, 1947, in Randolph County, Mrs. Reid was the daughter of the late Alva Thomas Yelverton and Ira Belle Warren Yelverton. She was a Methodist. She was a former owner of "Mr. Tax" in Americus, and prepared tax returns for several years. Survivors include her husband, Robert A. Reid of Leslie and her son, Christopher A. Reid, of Leslie. Hancock Funeral Home, 427 South Lee Street, Americus, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
