Mrs. Shirley Frost Williamson, age 79, passed away on Saturday morning, August 13, 2016, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 14, from the graveside at Oak Grove Cemetery. Rev. Hugh DeLoach, Dr. Bryan Myers, and Bro. Jeremy Wicker will officiate. The following gentlemen are asked to serve as pallbearers: Richard Wicker, James Murphy, Ronnie Greer, Rainey Hodge, Dr. Ray Williams, and Dr. Tom Wylie. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at Oak Grove Cemetery. Born September 17, 1936, in Americus, she was a daughter of the late James Felder Frost and Wylene Brown Frost. Mrs. Williamson was a long time member and Sunday School teacher at Central Baptist Church. She was a retired receptionist, having worked at Century 21 and Sauder, and for Dr. Tom Wylie and Dr. Ray Williams. Survivors include one daughter, Lisa B. Bruner (Jacky) of Albany, GA; one son, Jim Bennaman of Sharpsburg, GA; one daughter-in-law, Ann B. Bennaman of Fayetteville, GA; grandchildren: Katie Ann Bennaman of Lawrenceville, GA, Andrew John Bennaman of Fayetteville, GA, Gabriel Bruner of Miami, FL and Nick Bruner (Amanda) of Gainesville, GA; one great-granddaughter, Mae Louise Bruner of Gainesville, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John A. Williamson; one son, John Robert Bennaman; one great-granddaughter, Evie Bruner; and two sisters: Edith Ann McClung and Mozelle F. Taylor.
