Mrs. Willie Mae Allison passed away Tuesday, August 30 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton, GA. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 3, from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., with Rev. Rick Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, September 2, between the hours of 6:00 & 8:00 PM at Hancock Funeral Home. Born May 20, 1937 in Houston, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Nathaniel "Nay" Miller and Ruth Hunter Miller. A member of Cheek Memorial Church, Mrs. Allison was a retired paraprofessional, having worked in the public school system. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly Gloss and her husband Jack L. Gloss; grandchildren: Ashley Gloss, Robert "Brandon" Gloss, and Justin Gloss; great-grandchildren: Alexandria Coughlin, Sophia Gloss, and Wesley Gloss; one sister, Christine Lee; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett "Monroe" Allison; and by two sisters: Thelma Nelson and Bobbie Hickox.
