Mr. Claude Steven "Steve" Adams, age 68, passed away on Friday morning, September 16, 2016, at his home in Savannah, surrounded by his loving family. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 25, in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., with Rev. Brooks Partain officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends for a short time preceding services on Sunday at Hancock Funeral Home. Born September 28, 1947 in Atlanta, he was a son of the late Marion Clark Adams and Barbara Ann Cromer Adams. He was a retired military mechanic, having worked with the AFES. Survivors include one son, Chad Steven Adams (Vickie) of Jonesboro; one daughter, Tina Lashley (Beth) of Savannah; one brother, Phillip Lindsey of Rome; four sisters: Tina L. Adams of Arizona, Bonnie J. Martino (Jim) of Milton, Vermont, Anita L. Franklin of Rome, and Sangee Adams Stiles (Terry) of Zebulon; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his wife, Mary Frances Alexander Adams.
