DeAnna Ruth M. Baldwin, age 44, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Lillian Carter Health and Rehabilitation Center in Plains, Georgia. She was born in Salisbury, North Carolina on February 18, 1972. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Christopher J. Baldwin; daughter, Taylor M. Baldwin; sons, Michael T. Baldwin and Jonathan C. Baldwin; parents, B. Thomas and Ella Ruth O. Maugans; brother, Burton T. Maugans, II (Kelly); Grandfather, Julian C. Odom and Nephew, Pierce T. Maugans. She was a niece, cousin and friend to many. DeAnna graduated from the University of Georgia with a Music Performance degree. Her love of music was evident throughout her life. She performed with the Savannah Symphony Orchestra and the Cobb Community Orchestra as well as Roswell Street Baptist Church of Marietta Orchestra, First Baptist Church of Woodstock Orchestra and Smyrna First United Methodist Church Orchestra. She inspired hundreds of music students to achieve their best and to express their own love of music while teaching violin and piano and serving as Music Director at Atlantic Classical Christian Academy in Marietta and as Orchestra Director at Whitefield Academy in Mableton. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Smyrna First United Methodist Church at 11:00 am with the family receiving friends at 10:00 am.
