Nell Marie N. Ireland

Mrs. Nell Marie Ireland, age 86, passed away on Thursday evening, November 10, 2016, at her daughter's home in Americus. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 12, from the graveside at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Tifton. Rev. Wendy Joyner Peacock will officiate. The family will receive friends at the home of Martha Augood, 913 Hooks Mill Road, Americus, between the hours of 6:00 & 8:00 PM on Friday, November 11. A native of Waycross, GA, she was born November 17, 1929, a daughter of the late Robert P. Norris and Nell Marie Norris. Mrs. Ireland was a home maker and was of the Christian faith. Survivors include one son, Tom Earl Ireland (Sandy) of Milledgeville; three daughters: Linda Thompson (Ed) of Pagosa Springs, CO, Martha Augood (Dave, deceased) of Americus, and Bonnie Goulding (Charles) of Rome, GA; one sister, Elizabeth Ann Conoly of Tallahassee; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Tom Earl Ireland Sr., and by her daughter, Mary Ann Collins.
