John William "Billy" Price

Mr. John William "Billy" Price, age 64, passed away on Friday afternoon, December 23, 2016, at his home in Americus. Funeral services are planned for 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 27, from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., with Rev. Hugh Harbort officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, December 26, between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 PM at Hancock Funeral Home, and at other times at the family home, 602 Wildwood Circle. A native of Americus, Mr. Price was born on March 5, 1952, a son of the late Joseph Logan Price and Susie Bivins Price, who survives him. He was of the Christian faith, and was employed in the maintenance department as an electrician at Sumter YDC. He was previously employed by Manhattan Shirt Factory. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Paula Nobles Price of Americus; one son, John William Price, II (Cathy) of Americus; two daughters: Mikki Price Greene (Page) of Ellaville, and Brandy D. Ward (Scot)of Americus; two brothers: Joseph Logan Price, II of Macon, and Kenneth Thomas Price (Cheryl) of Perry; one sister, Myra Katherine Warren of Americus; one sister-in-law, Debbie Nobles of Gadsden, AL; eleven grandchildren: Belle, Cati, Cameron, Ladayla, McKinley, Dixie, Chase, Emma Rae, Luke, Kamrie, and Hunter; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law: Joe Ray Nobles and Doug Warren.
