Mrs. Eftihia (Lucille) Dervan Scheuer, 92, 2001 South Lee Street, Americus, passed away late Thursday evening, August 13, 2009, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. She is to be cremated. Born December 29, 1916, in Samos Greece, Mrs. Scheuer was a daughter of the late William Dervan and Cornelia Morphoglou. She was a homemaker, and the widow of Bob Scheuer. Survivors include two daughters, Penelope Scheuer of Arlington, VA and Joanne Cameron of Ottawa, ON, Canada; two sisters, Christine Stephens and Katherine Crawford, both of Albany; and four grandchildren:Todd, Amber, Josh and Alcina. Mrs. Scheuer was predeceased by an infant daughter, Catherine Scheuer, and three brothers: Albert, Harry and Jimmy Dervan. Eftihia was an exceptional seamstress and a gourmet cook. She was a very generous person who dearly loved her family. Hancock Funeral Home, 427 South Lee Street, Americus, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
