Charlotte Rachel Hargrove

Ms. Charlotte Rachel Hargrove, age 80, of Sullivan Drive, Americus, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.. Funeral services are planned for 3:00 PM on Wednesday, February 8, from the graveside at Oak Grove Cemetery. Rev. Rusty Mauldin and Rev. Keith Parks will officiate. The family will receive friends before the services on Wednesday at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., beginning at 1:00 PM. Born February 15, 1936 in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late William Archibald Hargrove and Ethel Alston Hargrove. Ms. Hargrove worked for twenty years as a telephone operator for Southern Bell, and then as an electronic switchboard repair person. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Americus. Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews and several other loving friends and family members. For those wishing to do so, memorial contributions are suggested to First Baptist Church, 221 S.
